Chiswick Eyot

A small island covered by willows and surrounded by reeds.  It was once used for growing grass for horses and cattle and willow osiers for basket making.  It is being eroded by the river and reducing in size. The narrow channel between the Eyot and the shore was used for trapping fish, including salmon two centuries ago.
